steam cannot connect to steam servers at log in

All of a sudden I can't log into steam. it says it can't connect to the servers. and yesterday it did something weird, checked my games validation, like it thinks I just got the game or something, when I bought it before it came out on steam.

Sounds like ISP. Ask them if anything is going on.
