"Updates to the Steam Client have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:"[br]

  • Added new filesystem for use with Red Orchestra - users will be automatically converted on launch. Improves load times in Red Orchestra on low-end systems
  • Improved Steam startup time
  • Reduced CPU usage/processing time during downloads
  • Improved content download rates
  • Optimized downloads to skip unused files
  • Updated reliability and usability data collection
  • Localized country names in purchase wizard
  • Fixed case where downloader could stall
  • Fixed case where the steam:// protocol handler wouldn't get restored on launch
  • Fixed purchasing issue if the user had an expired logon ticket
  • Fixed rare crash when browsing for servers
  • Fixed cybercafe's not being able to use the 'Do not save personal information on this computer' settings option.

Also, phase two of The Ship pre-load has begun. The final release will be made available when the game is made public on July 11th!
 
SDk update is coming soon - Valve have mentioned it a couple of times recently.
 
I'd like to believe, but "soon" in Valve terms might still take six months up to a year :)
 
Just hope that Steam will satisfy us and won't make the same mistake again on crashes on CS:S but thankfully it's been fixed.

I agree. I should thank Valve that they had provide us with a Source SDK so we can make our own Source-engine game.

come on, we need a freaking sdk update, not to mention fixed favorites tabs please!

I agree with you there. I love the sweet Source SDK, not to mention Maya models and XSI model making.
