Steam Client Update Released

A new Steam client update has been released which gives you the ability to block all communications from another user, and an option to timestamp friends messages.

• Added the ability to block all communications from another user
• Added an option to timestamp friends messages
• Added an option to configure taskbar window flashing behavior on friends messages
• Added background detection of game updates while Steam is running
• Fixed backups failing for certain games, and made other improvements to it

Restart Steam to get the new update.

Good to hear they improved the backups. They're buggy as hell.

Good to hear about the flashing on the taskbar. I was annoyed with the Steam Beta when it didn't flash in our chatroom and I forgot to check back for anyone speaking because I didn't minimize it.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I would minimize it with 10 people in there after saying something, and it didn't even blink.
