Hey all,
I am to the point where steam is trying to decrypt my HL2 game files. While decrypting steam is crashing after a few minutes with the standard microsoft error window that says, "Steam has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
No further infomation is given. I can't tell if this is hardware, software, or internet related. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of Half Life with the same results.
I am connected via 56k and had no problem registering or logging on to steam.
Has anyone seen this before? Valve, has not asnwered my request for support.
