Its been months since i had this problem and thought everything was fixed (this is the blob file deletion fix) well i tried deleting it again thinking it was the same problem but no success then i deleted everythign that could be updated, no luck. then i tried deleting everything and repairing steam, no luck, tried reinstalling steam nope. even when deleting file by file to see if some combination would work it didn't. um was thinking about uninstalling but i don't want to lose everything and reloaded half life 2 for days again. so what should i do?
