Steam engine error on startup

I'm getting some kind of error when i klick for steam to start up.

Steam.exe (main exception): Unable to start Steam Engine: *SteamStartEngine(0x12e8c8) failed with error 200: Connection Reset, WinSock Error 10054 "Connection reset by peer"

It's the first time i've started it since the update, so it might be the update server screwing around. But there was first an "updating" window, and then this error appeared. Whats going on?

ish. is there any other changes you've made? for example, do you have a firewall? the reason i ask, is because I used to use ZoneAlarm (which is also called EZFirewall nowadays...), and that's really sensitive to programs changing version. If you allow steam to use the web, then it changes version, zonealarm might not let the new version see the internet. Just a thought.
