Steam Friends List Problems

Has anyone else noticed the bugginess of the friends list? Sometimes if I double-click on a friend and change something under the status tab he just disappears? (and I didnt click remove or hit enter)

Also - the friend I added always shows as offline (and I show as offline to him) even though we are both online.

Whats up with that?

The friends network has been buggy ever since Steam was released.

Yes. The Steam friends was better during the 1.6 and Steam BETA then anytime after the release of Steam. It sucks so much.

You're best just not using or relying on it at all.

it seems to just log itself out at random moments.

i hope it's fixed in time for HL2.

Use MIRC instead of Steam's friends list. MIRC is better even though more complicated, but still better then Steam's friend's list.
