Well, I install steam, and I start it up, I get a fatal error. I only see this for a few seconds, becuase then Steam decides it has taken an exception to me, and crashes my entire home network \o/

Go Steam \\o \o/ o//

Entire network??? Are you sure you don't have something else lurking on your computer?

lolololololololololololololololololo

Go Steam go!

J/k
I don't think Steam can crash your entire network. At least if its not running in all the comps.
HV you checked Mydoom.B?
Maybe someone hacked your Steam!?!?!

Nope, nothing else lurking on the computer(s) got a hardware firewall AND a software one.

Mydoom.B can (allegedly) penetrate every kind of firewall if you open the e-mail. And then it opens a door for whoever wants to go in.
Go to www.us-cert.gov for more

So Steam crashes your system AND your network for no reason at all? That's really odd...this is on your new PC right?

Yeah, but it did it on the old one too ;(

I really want this fixed for when I add the newest computer to the network.

Doesn't exactly crash my system. What happens is I get the fatal error, and a few seconds later, the WAN and LAN go down at the router, but all the computers stay running fine...

So the LAN goes down but not the OS's
Thats more normal

open some ports on the router or something. Maybe you should send an email to the steam people telling them what router you have and what happens.
