steam is asking me again

:x man i can,t beleave this load of crok, i brought hl2 bronze wen we first could brought and paid, there has not been a day gone past that ive not double clicked my preload just incase it sez u can play hl2 now [i wish] and i know all the gcf,s are there in my steam folders but today i clicked on hl2 and its saying that hl2 is ready to be preloaded onto your computer wtf :frown: does that mean as i have a screenshot of my resept and the files are there hope someone can shed some light on this well anoying matter as there are only 5 days to go :frown:

I'm not entirely sure that i understand what your saying tbh, are you saying that you have all the files pre-loaded already, but when you double click on the HL2 shortcut in the games list, it wants to start pre-loading from the beginning again?

ummm....maybe its a new pre-load phase?...maybe they hate you...maybe punx not dead....im confused too...try explaiing again

How can you not have space for it again? You had space before ... it's not exactly gonna make copies, now ...

right ok wot hapt was i brought hl2 and preloaded it and have seen all the gcf,s in steam apps so i know it was there and is still there b4 yesterday wen i double click hl2 in game list i should get a msg saying that a locked copy of hl2 is on yer pc and will be playable after release [or similer words] NOW wen i clik on hl2 in games section of steam it now has the hl2 is redy to be preloaded ..problem is tho i already have it preloaded and the gcf,s are there. hope that make sence

Did you move any files? Change anything to do with Steam? Did it occur just after an update?

you could try deleting clientregistry.blob - it sometimes helps

If the GCF files are in your Steam Apps folder then it should be all there (if you preloaded it all). Try clicking continue see what happens.

And please try to write in proper English. Hard to read a whole message if you write it how you do.

not so mutch spelling mistakes but rather a kind of shorthand msn giber im sure most peeps know what i mean, hmmm!! picking apart miner spelling mistakes thats a sure sign of the hl2 longwaiters sindrome..don,t worry that will painlesly disapear on the 16th. if symptons persist consault yer local gameshop for the cure.
:thumbs: btw the problem went away wen i started steam the next day think the update resorted back to normal
