Steam is huge

Ok, I had about 30% hard drive space left in my 80 GB hard drive, now i'm down to 15%. I noticed I checked steam in add/remove programs and its nearly 6 GBS! 5,093.00 Mbs to be exact. I know Steam use to be not even 2 Gbs..Wtf is going on? I think maybe I installed Steam twice because I had to re-install it and then I clicked on the steam shortcut and it didn't work and then I installed it again and now it works. I know this is the wrong section but i'm eager. Does anyone know why?

Which games do you have, it can be well over 6gb if you have all the games. My SteamApps folder is 4.5gb and all i have is HL2 CS:S + the SDK.

Mine is personally around 5.6GB (all depends on what games you have downloaded)

Does anyone else have 6 Gbs for Steam? Or at least close?? It says a total of 5.71. I would upload a pic BUT IT NEVER WORKS FOR ME!! :flame: ok here we go, I have: my steamapps foler, dod, cs, hl engine, platform, deathmatch classic, dedicated server, hl, opposing force, ricochet, tfc, cs source, source engine, source materials, source models, and source sounds.

my Steam folder is just over 9 gigs.. i have about 6-7 mods, CZ, Source and of course my baby HL2

Nah. Got almost all games installed hl2 preloaded and 4 different accounts. 5 tmr
