Steam is stuck !!!

Well i just want to play some HL2 like every days, but the game doesn't launch at all .... nothing happens.

When i over my cursor in the steam logo in my taskbar, it says thath steam is updating ... the problem is it is stuck to a certain percentage !!!! ...
And ... WHY the hell I can't chose the moment I want for shitty updates ANYWAYS ???

Any updates on this my does the same everytime I click on half life 2 it just updates nothing else for 4 days now :flame: if I reboot it comes up with the vlave screen then proceeds to tell be I'm of line even if i'm not then crashes,

PLease Please tell me their's a fix before I do something desperate, like mow the lawn instead :sniper:

I have this prob too. It is stuck at 95%, though i can play the game, it still crashes every 30mins or so.

Can you explaind 'delete client registry' in a bit more detail?
