For some reason, steam seems to enjoy leaking itself into my hard drive. I now have about 5 extra folders related to half life and it's mods just randomly appearing in the root of my hard drive, and many files from steam are now located at C:\. Files such as Visual Basic files (msvcr71.dll and the like), Steam.dll, CDERHelper.dll, WriteMiniDump.exe, as well as the folders, bin, config, public resource, and skins. I can't understand why steam would result in using the root of the drive instead of it's own folder? ;(
