It's ok Pi, we can only hope for next week...

Left 4 Dead is scheduled for Christmas-ish.
What? nooooo, I was so sure it was going to be around this summer

I hate it when stupidly small pictures arn't thumbnails for a bigger version...

Wow...strange...

Does anyone know the story on the last image with the fist holding the crowbar in the air? It's very similar to a design I made for a HL2 shirt (here). I'm not saying it was copied directly off my design since I have no idea of its origin, but it is very similar.

It looks familiar like I've seen it on another site before. Right-clicking on the pictures, it is named CVGimages.jpg. I guess I would assume it came from CVG. Maybe not.

That is pretty strange. Very similar but not quite the same.

Length has nothing to do with boredom unless it's too long, so that didn't make sense at all

Time length vs gameplay contents. The longer the game takes to finish, the more contents of the gameplay you get to explore which makes it more exicting. example: Traveling by plane avoids spending tedious days on the train (time length vs lack of variety) well i hop you get the point. dumbest logic ?? hmmm

I guess I can see what you're saying, but honestly...they really have nothing to do with each other in my book.

Episode 1 was like, 4.5 hours for me, or less even...and I thought it was action packed.

HL2 was 20 something for me and that was action packed.

So length means nothing to me--it's really all about what is done with it. :)

As long as it's fun, memorable and has a good replay value, just as with Episode 1, the length doesn't bother me.

I'm afraid I don't see your point at all.

Do you guys seriously sit at the computer for 6 hours straight playing a game?...

Because with me, if a game is that long... it'll probably take me a good portion of the week to play.

I like to make good things last, so I played HL2 and Ep:1 both on hard to make them last longer. I played EP:1 over a couple days, so not sure how long it took - maybe around 8 hours...

I actually haven't played either of them on normal - it's a pity there isn't an extreme mode or anything. There are mods like HL2 Substance and SMOD which are much harder (Italian Extreme mode!).

Anyone know if there are any mods for Ep:1?

The problem with game difficulties for me is that usually the game mechanics don't change--I just die more... ;(

I just got it off the Steam Message itself...

The latest issue of PC Gamer has a full page of that pic as the intro to the Valve section :)

That's interesting, I should check that out. Most likely the image was made based off the "Valve's Industrial Revolution" theme - the fist in the air is a common revolutionary image (which is why I chose it for my design).

Searching "revolution" in Google images will show some examples (and many pictures of the device now known as the Nintendo Wii).
