Steam not connecting, WHY?

It was fine untill today, when I tried to play CS:S then the steam couldn't connect. It says,

Steam error

It could not connect to steam network.

My connection is fine, but it always say error when I try to connect.

HELP!

I am having the same problem as you are! I sent a question to steam and am waiting on a reply.When I get it I will let you know.Also, I just had to remove a trojan virus from my computer .Maybe steam wouldn't let me connect because of that, but now that the virus is gone am I supposed to reactivate my steam account or what? :O

Try deleting clientregistery.blob while steam is off and then restarting steam.
