I purchased a game via Steam for the first time ever (yeah I know I'm like 4 years late and so maybe this is old news). My credit card bill lists the type of business (e.g. restaurants, grocery stores, etc.)... and for Steam they have it listed as "Government Services." Has anyone else gotten that? Is there something about Valve we don't know? Did I accidentally give my money to The Man.... perhaps even a G-MAN??? Oh gosh that is probably the worst joke I have ever made.

But seriously, what the heck?

[edit] Oh maybe this is supposed to go in the Steam forum whose existence I've only now discovered. Oops.

Welcome to The United States of Valve. Now that you've paid your dues, you're an official citizen.

After much thought, the only other explanation I've come up with is that the government is secretly subsidizing Weekend Deals on Steam.

Gabe is secretly running the united states and the UN. He is behind all that happens in the world, good and bad. He is the ruler.

QUICK, DELIVAR MOAR HAMBURGARS TO THE LEADAR

Is Gabe Newell secretly planning a coup et' tat?

maybe you have taxes that go to the gov't when buying some stuff online

everything we do on Steam is probably cataloged and stored in a large storage facility

Oh accents are working again, sweeet.

government cover-ups were not in my job description
