I'm stressed out to the last lads. I'm trying to get Half Life 2 working again after a year.. Hello by the way... of not playing it. I got that awful stresswhere steam installed again then had to go through so much shit to find my username tried to get my password reset but they throw this **** of a question at me....

....What did customer support last change your passphrase to?.... What the **** is that like?? What the **** is a pass phrase??? Who the **** do these people think they are?????

Does anyone have any insider freinds that can just sort this crap out before I lose the rag all together and take it out on my neighbours sheep..

I'm using a dial-up connection at work, so eveythings taking an age and at the cost of being fired.

Have you tried actual contact with Valve before going on a mass sheep murder spree :|

I sent them of an ol' email alright, but I probably won't get any word back till after monday so that means lugging me PC back into work again. It doesn't like being moved though.

I'm afriad their going to come back to me with that send us the box for 6 weeks and we'll switch it to a new account.

I'll leave the sheep in peace till wednesday then.

Huh? Could you provide a screenshot of that question, because I have never seen it anywhere in password recovery :|
Press the Prt Scr button on your keyboard, sometimes it's also called Sys Rq.
Now open paint, and press CTRL+V. You should get a screenshot you've made when you pressed Prt Scr/Sys Rq.
Now save it (preferably in JPEG or GIF format), upload it to www.imageshack.us and paste the link in your reply.

This is the Email they sent me back after trying to retrieve my account details....

Well, you could try contacting them to ask what that passphrase was, because you obviously don't know :p

Include your possible passwords, your e-mail account for the Steam account, your CD-key to show you are the actual owner of the account and, if possible, a photo of the receipt of the game. If you bought it online, give the last four numbers (or something like that) of your credit card to show them you are the owner of the account. (Watch out for fraud, I thought they could deduct cash from your bank account if they know your complete series of numbers. But I absolutely don't know anything about all that, so I may be wrong :p)

Should I attach a picture of one of the sheep being dangled over the edge of the tall building? Oh wait we don't have any tall buildings out here in the land of the muck savage. It'll just have to be the trusty ol' shootgun to the head. It'll take a while their a right pain in the hole to chatch running wild in a feild.. :bounce: :sniper:

This could prove difficult, I bought it in a shop, never keep receipts. It's not important to in Ireland. Don't have a credit card because their EVIL!

All I have is what I bought in the shop, the box, the DVD and the little piece of paper inside.

Well, you could try taking a picture of you slicing open the abdomen of the sheep and magically retrieving your DVD box out of the sheep.
It's original, and it'll convince them that you're the owner of the game :p
