Steam say - Unlock this week, play next week?

I'm confused, on the Steam forums there's a post here from the 3rd Oct which states the following (it's part of the packages information)

When will I be able to play my games?
º Counter-Strike: Source will be unlocked next week. This means you can play the full version of CS:S within another week!

If this is correct, what does it mean? If it means exactly what it says, then why does it take a week from unlocking to be able to play ?

hey this is actualy great news
i dont read much actualy some times.
but got a quistion also

if we can play it next week then we will have all maps right.
does't get unlocked also for ati vouchers users ?

It gets unlocked for all people owning HL2, either by purchasing through steam or through the ATI voucher. The full CS:S release later this week will contain all maps. This is the retail of CS:S.

Visa and Mastercard going by CS:CZ

Hopefully they will add something like paypal for HL2, as I don't personally have either of those types of cards and borrowing one is a pain.

Yeah they do and you get shafted in the currency exchange rates

I believe that was gotten from last week. Valve said that Cs:s will be released THIS week meaning Oct4 - Oct10
