Ok, so my friend has the orange box, and I do not, I've just got EP1 and HL2, now I was wondering - If I signed into his steam profile on this computer, and got his disc (so I can install these things), would I be able to play them on my computer?

Because his computer isn't built for gaming, so it always crashes when playing portal and everything, but he's already got them registered on his computer/profile.

So I was thinking why let them go to waste? I'll play them on my computer (with his permission).

Yes all you need to do is log into your friend's Steam account at your house (but install the games from the Orange box on your computer too).

You must realise that you and him can't both be logged into his account at both locations at the same time though. And you friend must give you his username and password.

That's how you'd get it to work, I thought you would have known that by being here for a while now Dog...

I have never been to the steam forums here.. Just HL2, site feedback, and General off-topic, and that's pretty much it.. I usually just boot up steam, and it auto-logs, then I play my games, I never do anything else with it.. I've only browsed around steam a few times.. You ask, you learn, right?

I find it more shocking that you don't have The Orange Box.

I find it shocking that I don't have the money for the orange box... Oh wait, no I don't! :)

How can you avoid knowing this after three years on here?
