steam skinning

I know that there's a sticky about this but i dont really understand it, i just want to turn the steam skin to black instead of that ugly green default colour. in the simplest terms possible can someone please pm me or post here on how to do this?!

You could find a black skin on a Steam skins website.

i still don't get it lol is there a code someone can tell me that i can type in somewhere or something? lol all i wanna do is change the background for it to black(every background including friends and the server list not just the main menu.) THANKS!!!!!

If all fails and you cannot create a skin, you can try the one that I found over a year ago. It's black like you wanted and I still think it's one of the best. I'm sure you can even edit this or something. Enjoy.

wait im in the program and i made my skin but how do i make the skin work on steam, like theres no accept button to make it change the colours on steam?! HELP!

You go to the top. Click File --> Save and export to Steam.

it says i need to save it to s steam system path, whetre is that?!

Options --> Edit Steam path, just point it to your steam executable.
