Ive Been Coming To This Site Now For Yrs, Esspecially When HL2 Was Released, And Nearly Every Day Since!, But Now .. When I Come To This Site , My Steam Account Starts Up ..? Why ..?? And .. How Do I Make It Stop..?
It Must Be Some Kind Of Script That Ive Obviously Said YES To At Some Point But How Do I Undo It ..?
Please Help , It Winding Me Up! ;o)
Btw .. I Use FireFox!

Really? Thats bloody awesome, doesn't sound right to me. Have you tried reinstalling firefox? Could be something nasty. And you've been lurking all that time? How comes you've never posted

I really don't think so, i mean Munro could have installed something stupid, but we'd all get it, and i'm working fine. Is it just this site? If thats the case delete your cookies, temporary internet files or reinstall as i said before. Crazy script, what dodgy sites have you been lurking on (besides this one ).

It Must Be A Script To Do With This Site Cos ..
1. It Only Happends On This Site ..

Go through your addon library to see what you've got.

I Think Ive Sorted It !!
I ReInstalled Firefox And Used Firefox Safe Mode And Reset EveryThing ..
It Was A Wierd One Tho Wasnt It ..?

Any links that start with the prefix steam:// will automatically launch Steam, there is one in the most recent news post.

My best guess is, that the Firefox Live Bookmark you had set for Halflife2.net may be launching the link in this news post, causing the strange behaviour. I don't have Firefox installed at the moment, so unfortunately I cannot test it. It's likely something to do with this.
