I haven't had any problems with Steam before this.
Whenever I try to start Steam, the "updating" screen goes to 27% (as it always does), then disappears, and then I get a "this program has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. I've been getting this with Winamp as well, although that may be another problem.
Any ideas?
