Steam Update on Wednesday

Hello. I just noticed this, it was actually posted yesturday and proberly old news. But they are preparing to release Condition zero and hl2 at least. So at least they are actually kinda showing theya re doing something. As people say its better than nothing. Here is the new post:

As previously stated in the post 'Steam - cu@LAN' the next major Steam update will roll-out this Wednesday (3rd). As a recap, this update will include these changes previously mentioned:

Offline Play
Account validation (via e-mail)
A new Half-Life 2 hardware survey
Support for purchasing games through Steam

The update is expected to last three hours and Steam will be down for the duration. It is scheduled to happen at 6:00am PST which is 2:00pm GMT. Hopefully this will not cause too many problems and lets all cross our fingers for no delays.

They probably give you a survey about what hardware you have so they know what most people have and try to support it in HL2.

its a bit late isn't it? hehe, to say they have vertually finished the game. I mean. I think it will be about if u will be willing to pay online for it and also your age and gaming experiance. Proberly have some questions about mods and if u take part in them as well. All these mods that will be coming out for hl2. Its not us making the money. Its them... Without the mods for hl1 it would have never been one of the best selling games of all time.

Anyway, I can't frickin wait. My internet has been dodgy recently and I want offline play just in case!

lol You would think by now they would realize how large their fan base is and act accordingly for updates. Just a little complaint to throw around I like steam though, and finnally got the update.

Same here, no connection to steam. I cant even get to the forums at steampowered.com. I guess they didnt anticipate all this.
