An update to the Steam client has just been released. Steam will update itself automatically when you restart. Servers will need to be restarted. Here is a list of the changes:

hey , i just got the update... and i cannot get any 3rd party hl2 games to work.. my friend has the same problem.. is anyone else having problems with the oct 12 update? I've already emailed steam about it .. seems like everytime they try to make something better they make it worse ..
