Steam!!! whyyy!!?? helpp mee

Hey guys..ive been visiting this site for months now but havent got around to posting until recently. Anyway i wanna kill myself right now. Heres the deal..my Steam was working perfectly then they released to the new patch..It so happens that i used Ad-Aware right before i booted up Steam to download the new patch. I booted it up it started to update and it got to 99 percent..then started over. It did this another 3 times then it says "Steam in currently unavailible, please try back later"...so i deleted the blob file and then it updates to 27 percent and does the same thing as before! Its been 2 days! Ive checked the Steam forums and i cant find an answer anywhere. This same thing happened to me months ago when i wanted to beta test cs:source...after about a month and a half it started working again...but i cant wait a month and a half this time!!! Please someone help!

listen i know you guys get this stuff alot...i know i always ignored it...but when it happens to you it sucks! Put yourself in my posistion. Please someone help me if you can!

Did you shut down Steam, then delete the .blob file, then restart Steam?

I think the shutting down part could be important.

See the thing is..steam doesnt even load..i click the logo on my desktop, then the little updating window pops up..then it does its whole thing and it never finishes updating. It just say's Steam is temporarily unavailible, please try back later. And it closes. Steam never actually opens to the Play Games, Browse Games, etc screen...or even the login screen. No one has an answer to this problem but yet so many people have the same problem.. and they say just wait for it to go away. It happened to me awhile ago and it took forever and one day it worked. I cant wait that long! Steam is terrible!

Delete clientregistery.blob then try again.

Also try deleting platform.gcf

yup tried deleting the clientregistry again...didnt work. Where is the platform.gcf file? It wasnt in the Steam folder...i have nothing in my steam folder anymore..i unistalled it all...trying to get this thing to work.

It would be in the steamapps directory.

i dont have a steam apps directory because i unistalled everything..its jsut the steam folder and thats it..which has like 3 items in it..including the blob file.

Wait, so you have steam uninstalled at the moment?

Reinstall it, then try my steps again.

yes he does, okay, go ahead and wipe out steam completely from your computer (again). If you haven't already, undo what adaware did. if that doesn't work, go with my last resort: system restore back to a date that worked
