Steam won't accept my password :*(

So.. yesterday i woke up trying to play some good old tf2.

I open steam.. put in my password and BAM. It says it's incorrect. I know it's correct because it's a password i use for a lot of places. The thing is, the password works on steam community website but not with steam. I contacted steam through email, and.. no response. What the heell?

are you using your steam username or steam community id to login? try both

On the steam community website i can log in with my regular account that i use to log on to steam, but on the steam program, it doesn't work.

Crap, that's what i meant to say. I did create a support ticket. Perhaps it's a matter of time? I was under the impression it would be faster than this. Oh well i guess i have to wait.

how long does it take for them to respond? its already been 3 days.

did you receive an email that it was sent? when i created one and pressed 'submit' or whatever the button says; it brought me to a next page to see if a few topics would help my problem. then at the bottom it say post your problem or something like that. if you exited out of the browser at the point then your ticket wouldn't have gone through.
