Steam wont start

I can't get onto Steam at all for the past day or two. Everyone I click on steam, a box comes up saying something like "Connecting Steam Account (my username listed)". Then after some time, the box disappears and nothing happens. I click again, it just repeats, but still doesn't work. Any suggestions how to fix this?

Try going to your steam folder and deleting clientregistry.blob and then launch steam again.

Edit: Catchphrase was an awesome shot BTW.

Hm. Same thing happened to meh today. I do have a solution maybe not to yours. Tell me more in detail what happens.
