Steampowered down?

Can anyone get onto the Steam forums? I can't get on at the moment. I wanted to witness the new wave of Xmas disgruntled HL2 players with the st-st-stutter problem. Maybe that's why it's down? Prehaps it's collapsed under the strain :naughty:

It's still down. I reckon Valve deliberately shut it down for Xmas to avoid all the extra complaints & HL2 problem threads.

Nah I don't think so. Apparently Newegg is also down. Must be a new christmas thing. Stores close, so now I think web sites close. Heh.

EDIT: Nope, Newegg is back up, nevermind me.
