SteamWaitForResources() failed?

I get this messege on the Console when, At the same time, the game stoped from flowing.

What does it mean?
Does this error affect the flow of the game?

I got the same problem

I have the same problem, that message appears in the console after a game is loaded and no enemy attacts me ever.. nothing happens.. I can kill everybody easily and advance normally until some events need to occur with other characters... I am stuck now...
Who knows a solution?

I have purchased the game and got blown away by it right form the start. It is really awesome! Have one problem though that is reaaaalllllyyyy frustrating!!! I started a geme from the start and kept on playng for about 2 hours with no problem. I had to work so i decided to save and close the game. The next day when i tried to load my save, it loaded just fine except for the fact that as soon as it was loaded i got a really strange in-game message quoted:
"No Node graph...Rebuilding"
and
"SteamWaitForResources() failed" .

I had no idea what this was and kept on playing only to find out that everything run fine except for the AI of the game which had frozen. I mean really frozen...as in icecube frozen. Sounds, weapons, scripts all run fine but the non-playable characters had frozen thus prohibiting the gameplay. No collision detection also for those characters too. Its like the game does not load them. There are just there as paper figures. The problem is fixed as soon as i re-install the game but still appears afer a while.

I AM DESPERATE FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS HOW TO SOLVE THIS GUYS!!! I WANT TO ENJOY HL2!!!!!!!!!

The solution is:
Open the Console and write:
ai_disable 1 <enter>
ai_norebuildgraph 1 <enter>
You will need to do this everytime you load a game.
