do you guys still think theres no aimbots or speed hacks?

I see lots of hacks. I don't see any other players or sign of you connected to an online server.

lol.. even the guys with autoaim still suck

some guy speed+aim hacking got nailed about 9-30 before he left the server in shame.

Protip: Stick to solitaire! Thats the game for you!

Yeah. No shit. There are cheaters out there. That's a factoid.

As OmegaX stated, who ever said no one was cheating?

i dont really care if someone is botting or not, i think its funny. people get way too into this game, and fps in general. i don't totally suck, but its fun to shoot people every now and again, and getting shot can be pretty damn funny sometimes as well. i had a guy last night getting all pissy with me because i didnt "name myself". tellin me that if i didnt name myself ill look like a noob.

first of all, i dont care if i "look like a noob" by not naming myself. actions speak louder than words, to be cliche. but seriously people, whether you cheat or not, as long as you have fun thats all that matters.

remember guys, this is just a forum on the internet, about a video game. dont let it make you that 30 year old fat guy that still lives with mom.

What if your "having fun" stops about 25 other people having fun? sounds kinda like childish selfishness to me. :|

Ha! You have to play in a small window.

Heres my two cents: If the server isn't VAC secured I don't care about the cheating since it is basically allowed. If it's just gonna be about a bunch of guys screwing around and having a laugh thats fine by me.

But if you're ruining a perfectly good and legit game by abusing all sorts of things to bring down another's score. You deserve the guillotine.

I could photoshop an image like that in minutes. why dont you take a demo of yourself cheating, and post your steam ID while your at it....if you want to impress.

What bliink said. Cheats and un-gentlemanly conduct (rocket-snipers, shadow-lurkers and spawn-campers, etc.) really gets my goat. As they say.

What goat?

And too what degree is un-gentlemanly? When other people are prohibited from having fun because you're jumping them the second they spawn? (when people shoot you while you're trying to grav-jump?)

I'm always rather flattered when I'm accused of hacking.

Especially because I'm generally only like 52-18, which is a bad score for a hacker, but they're like OMFGGGGGGG YOU JUST GOT SIX TMP HEADSHOTS ON ICEWORLD WTF HAX

You're a tool.

You don't want to be the nerd, but then look at yourself.
Take a good long look in the mirror.
You go out of your way to be inferior to the nerds.

You brag that you're screwing everyone over, but you're really just playing with yourself in front of a crowd.
Was it as good for you as it was for you?

I play three hours a week and I win most games. No cheats. No crutch.
How long do you spend pretending to be adequate?
Put on a costume and run around on the internet using special programs to make-believe that you're good at a computer game.
But at least you're not a nerd.

Too bad you can't cheat at life.

Ouch. That's gotta be the best-written rebuttal I've read in a long time.

AND done in a pseudo-poetic form. I like it - I like it a lot.

Exactly. The kind of folks who stand next to a spawn point with a radiator in their grav guns waiting for a kill. No skill involved whatsoever. They're c*nts. Killing them is immensely satisfying.

The only person being cheated by cheating is the cheater.
Cheaters only cheat to win. They cheat in order to cheat death, and because they lack they will power and patience to improve without cheating.
Cheaters, cheat the non-cheaters who hate cheaters. The non-cheating community play because they enjoy the challenge. Cheaters cheat them of their enjoyment.
Anti-cheat software helps to deter some cheaters, but the hax see this as a challenge to cheat the anti cheat software so they can continue to cheat.

There are plently of very helpfull guy's and gal's on this forum who will tutor and direct the less experienced player, so just ask. Please dont cheat.

If you really feel that you need to cheat to play any Multi Player FPS on-line game to win then you perhaps need something different. You might try this.

You will not learn how to play when you rely on someone elses code to aim for you, or see thro walls.

The game can only be fun when played fairly without "help".

:cheese:

But hl2dm is already cheap and fast, Why do u need to be cheaper and faster?

So basically you addmitted to hacking.

Well, your steam username is Target, and I can keep this thread of proof and get your steam account banned! :D

that's the fun part of cheating. pissing of other people.

Well, I hope you're joking because Valve wont allow a post as proof of hacking.

Perhaps if p***ing ppl off tickles your buscuits, you should become a politician.

I cannot see the enjoyment in ruining anothers entertainment.

TBH i haven't really seen a decent hack that can beat a top class player. I have played competitively at CB now for over 3 years.

The best way to cheat the cheater, is to infiltrate their forums and report your findings to the relevant ppl at Steam or Evenbalance.
Cheats are gaming viruses tho and no sooner have you found and stopped one, that a new one arrives.

I guess to a certain extent we have to live with ppl that derive pleasure from anothers misery.

Good luck to them I say and may the fleas of a thousand camels infect the armpits of those that continue to cheat.

He also posted a screenshot he took of himself cheating though. That could cut it.

Plus, with his steam ID, it shouldn't be hard to find him in a game and record his cheating with a vidcap, if necessary.

Yeah really, he just shot himself in the foot with this thread.

And naturally it's alright for other people to piss you off too, as long as they're having fun, right ?

If you ask me, I think the guy POSTING this is the cheater, considering its damn hard to capture a picture like that from the OTHER GUYS computer. How in the hell do you take a screenshot of the guy's computer, if hes 300 miles to the west of where you live??

Know how to piss people off more and have WACKY CRAZY FUN!?!

Simple. Run up to a police officer. Spit on him. He will be pissed off! you will be having lots of fun!!!111

Then, after that, call the doctor over to your hosptial bed, throw your bedpan at him! he will also be pissed off! MORE FUN!!

After that, everyone will be having CRAZY FUN!

yes but here we're bodering over into reality where as gaming is a bit of escapism into the world of non-reality...

cheating is gay but i saw this thread and for the first time in my entire gaming life, i went online and had a look at what the hacks do...pretty boring playing like that really and it confuses me as to why people do it all the time

aww you guys got all mad... not even knowing if it was me or not who took the screen capture.

tsk tsk. you trolls are slipping. you didnt even ask..

wouldnt people using bots such as this force people to be better than the bots? to go above and beyond human ability? to out maneuver, out think, out run, and inevitably, out perform.. a bot is your duty.

it is your duty, as a member of the first person shooter community. you can NOT reason with, speak civilly to, or type coherently, to anyone suspected to be, and or actually, botting.

this.. is your duty. may i even go so far as to say, destiny?

eating doritos and drinking jolt cola from the basement of your mothers house, learning, evolving far beyond the abilitys of the legends of the first person shooter genre.

you could be.. nay, WILL be the best. overcoming any obsticle the botting community will throw at you.

obtaining head shot after head shot, laughing in the preverbial "face" of your opponants! not camping, but moving.

moving towards a goal. a goal not set by you. but by others opinions of you. you simply cannot settle for being number two. no.

you will battle. not only with your mother who doesnt understand, or with your father who tells you to get a job.

you will battle with greed, envy, and your lust for power.

let none stand in the way of your rise, to the pinnacle of gaming excellence.

RISE I SAY!! FIGHT TO BE THE BEST, FIGHT TO BE NUMBER ONE!

CAN YOU COUNT SUCKAS???
I SAY THE FUTURE, IS OURS!!

thank you everyone for attending my seminar. before you leave, i ask you please sign my guestbook at the door.

thanks again and god bless!

p.s. its called hotlinking. ill teach you about it!

Web pages may link to other web pages using hyperlinks. The hyperlink object allows a viewer to click on a link to reach another site. The owner supplies bandwidth as a gift, or to sell something, etc.

It is possible to use a HTML tag in a webpage to embed material from another site in it. Thus when the webpage is sent to someone to view, the bandwidth for the embedded material is supplied by the owner of the second site.

This may not be desirable for the owner of the second site: he or she may only be willing to supply the material, with the corresponding bandwidth, if that material is viewed embedded in his or her own webpages, e.g. because otherwise it does not help him earn money which compensates for the bandwidth cost.

This may be considered unfair and even be called "bandwidth theft". If there are no copyright restrictions, it would be considered fairer if the owner of the first site puts copies of the embedded material on his or her own site. If there are copyright restrictions, the alternative would be to just link to the other site.

For example, Site A hosted by Party 1 puts up a commentary on paintings. In this commentary they would like to post a few images of the paintings discussed. Assume that the paintings are public domain or such use is covered under fair use. Party 1 could host the images (such an option is legally possible), but, instead, Party 1 embeds a tag that causes these images to be downloaded from a server belonging to Party 2. When WebSurfer 1 opens up Site A in his web browser the bandwidth for Site A is provided by Party 1. However, the images are obtained from Party 2. (This practice is sometimes also called hotlinking.)

Some argue that the act of linking cannot be construed as theft since theft requires unauthorized usage. The underlying protocol for web pages requires the requests to be made by the browser. In response, the server will send out the requested object. Since the server has clearly served the request, it may be argued that a case for theft cannot be made, even if the intent was clearly to deprive the owner of rightful use.

The situation is further complicated by the ability to configure servers to prevent serving of objects based upon the request. However, many Internet Service Providers now have rules regarding bandwidth theft which make it a violation of their Terms of Use to cause bandwidth theft from another server using their service. So, while a bandwidth thief may not get hit with monetary repercussions paying back the cost incurred by the person they stole from, they can most certainly, and often do, lose their Internet access over the matter.

He's right. You all jumped to conclusions.

(although why you needed a seminar and a condenscending attitude is debatable)
