I know I haevn't played it, I just wanted to say that I noticed that in the HL2 binks the guy has almost no ammo. I don't think that would be very cool. I know ammo can't be unlimited, but I don't want to use the crowbar for a lot of things either.

That was just for the purposes of the video, they didnt play through the game to get to that point that you see. They spawn the player into that part they want to show off, and give them the right weapons and ammo they want the viewers to see.

Im sure on Easy setting, your have plenty of ammo when you play.

I actually want to be running out of ammo while surrounded by zombies

How many time must this be stated? Valve have said the gravity gun will not make it into the final game.

I think he meant the manipulator gun. But anyway, don't worry. I'm sure there will enough ammo in the game and you wouldn't always have to be using the crowbar.

ya im pretty sure and yes thre is NO gravity gun in the final release

Guys, read hl2-world.com. A guy who recently visited Valve said they decided to put the psygun with welding back into the game. Good decision i say.

So hurahh!

Manipulator = the gun we all know and love

Physgun = the gun used in the E3 2003 presentation to show off the physics. It emitted a blue ray that could lift things.

I tried that site, but its in German, is there an English version?

I do get tired of constantly worrying more about my ammo levels on my preferred gun than about playing the game.

the might not give you that much ammo so that you have to use other things to defeat enemies, like that big swinging bar

Whats funner, shooting saw blades at zombies and chopping them in half or shooting them with a pistol?

Shooting pieces of sharded glass and plywood at zombies.....

Cool, hadn't heard this, excellent news. The physgun kicks the boring manipulators ass.

Seriously? Effin' A! That's awesome news if it's true. :D

I was going to enjoy shooting letters off buildings at the strider :(

I was kind of annoyed at HL especially when I had a lot of ammo towards the end of the game. yes, I kinda like challenge. :p

I never have ammo problems in FPS games. I'm ultra conservative with my ammo, and if I think i've expended too much ammunition in a certain encounter I'll do it again untill I use minimum amounts. I know some dumbass developers try to not let you stockpile ammo by taking it away from you after each level. I'm glad HL, HL2 are a continuous level style with the quick loads so then can't just strip you of your ammo unless something special happens to your character in game. (grunts ambushing gordon in the dark after assassins)

wha? welding? explanation please.

I dnt mind having v limitted ammo , if im surrounded by zombies and bored i might even chuck sum ammo to make it more exciting.

+ less ammo in machine guns makes u use Pistols alot more, and i think thats good

For those who don't know about it, the physgun can apparantly "weld" objects together by targeting specific points on two different objects, and then (by moving one object next to the other) 'lock' them together, as if they were welded. So theoretically you could attach barrels or poles to the buggy, or anything else really.

Valve stated a while back that they weren't including it in the final game, but it seems it might be back in. My guess is that it won't be in the game itself, but will easily be attainable with a cheat\console command.

Interesting... Greg Commer said not so long ago that the blue-beam weapon wasn't in the game proper... seems a little late to add it...

I doubt it actually plays any role in the game itself, it's probably just an extra they're throwing in as a console command or something.

i like my life easy, im going to play it on easy mode first, not having to worry about ammo or hit points. after that id probably try it on hard mode to see what i might have missed.
