This may not be the right place to ask this guys sorry but Im a economics and business adminstration major at school and im wanting to find out about stock and other finacial quotas on valve...does vavle have P stock?? Thnx

Valve is a privately owned company, so no stocks.

Valve is set up as a private corporation, so yes there is stock. This stock is not traded on the NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, etc. Valve has privately held stock which it can give to other people in certain circumstances (such as giving a share of stock for some startup money). Most likely Gabe Newell owns 100% of Valve software.

This stuff can get fairly complicated. But the basic concept to remember is that Valve is a privately held corporation.

^^ I'd be surprised if Gabe owned 100% of Valve, considering the company was founded by him AND Mike Harrington. Since this guy Mike Harrington isn't on the staff, I'd guess he's actually the money-man.
