Stop responding while loading

Hello to everybody !

I have just one problem with Half Life.

Not always but often when it is write on the screen
loading my computer stop responding and I must restart with
the button not from windows.

My configuration:

P IV 2400
1024 DDR Memory
Ati Saphire 9600, 256MB
80GB Hard disk
Audio on board

I have the newest driver from the net and newest directX 9.0.

I am playing in 1024-768 with high detials and without antialaising and vertical sync.

Plase help if you can....

ouch. I don't even understand what you said. Do you mean that your computer stops working when you play HL2
