Stop Trio Casino Adds

I was sitting at my desk studying for my Marketing 315 Class and all of a sudden, A Trio Casino add pops up. I was doing nothing on my computer, IE wasn't even running but my network connection is always on.

I have done everything from Disable Messenger, added the site address to my restricted site list and I d/l the HOSTs file that has done wonders for other pop-ups ... I have opted-out of most of the lists here

but ...

The Damn Trio Casino Ad/Program continues to POP up. I am getting sick of this!

Has anyone else delt with this or perhaps know how to deal with this?

go to http://security.kolla.de and download their Spybot - Search and Destroy program. Update it, search your system for adware/spyware, and fix all problems. Then immunize and install the bad download blocker.

Spybot rocks.

Holy Crap and a half!

So I downloaded both programs, updated, then I ran them both. I sat at my computer, smug with the fact that I just crushed the online casino industry hpes.

Then ... after I turn on Blade on TNT ... BOOM ... The freakn' add Pops up AGAIN!

Any other suggestions my friends?

Update, Immunize, Check for problems

2. it could be a virus...seriously...it's not my diagnostic for everything...

Ramblings: Hrm. If you know what you're doing, go to Start>Run and type msconfig and look around for suspicious programs that boot up. Maybe it's msmsg. And if you can find out how, run a boot-time spybot - search and destroy check. I don't know why it's not gone though.

did you reboot afterwards? That solves 50% of Windows problems.

I did both several times again, then re-booted. I am in Windows only 10 seconds before it pops up AGAIN. !!!Sonofabitch!!!

This is the site ... Not that I want you guys to stuck with my problem, but I have NEVER been to this site before it has popped up.

I called their 800 number, I have written them email. And Nothing.

Any other ideas?

Any free Virus Scanners out there?

I disable and cleared MSMSG. Last time I purged, i forgot to turn it back off ... but that was one of the first things I did.

There's a free antivirus software called AVG that you can download. It's at www.grisoft.com I think.
