strange and annoying physics glitch/bug- Ep. 2

I have no idea when this started, it seemed to work fine before, but in half life 2: Ep 2, After a random amount of time, for no reason, the phsics engine borks out and any physical object, once moved, clips through the floor, wall, and cealing.

They dont really, "fall" through the ground, but if the object is simply placed on the ground, it sinks in and gets pushed back up to the surface, falls back down, is pushed back up again until it stops.

I really have no idea how to explain it... I guess the next time it happens, i could get some screenies to better descibe the problem, but for now, all you have to go off of are the above paragraphs.

I really would like to play this game again, but this problem completly ruins the experiance
 
Have you done those usual things like validating and reinstalling and etc?
 
Are you using the "cl_ragdoll_collide 1" command?
If so don't use it has it causes this exact problem on EP2, the command only works on HL2 and EP1.
 
as a matter of fact, YES! i had no idea that that would cause this problem! each time i play, i use cl_rag_col 1, and it borks out on me!
