strange icons

i was playing the shadow op: red mercenary demo when all of a sunnden my sceen went strange looking. like the tv testing thing with the colorful bars but a lot of small ones in strange ways.

i restarted and my c&c:ra 2 icons and my unreal 2 xmp install icon changed to look like those bars. why?
