strange screen at boot

the first strange thing was to come home from work to a blue screen of death. not THAT strange but hasn't happened in a while. so i reboot and i get "windows was not shut down properlly blah blah blah.....how would you like to start" so i choose start windows normally. well it goes black and the next screen i see is big and blue and says "OS/2 WARP" and "IBM" in the top right corner. i'm like "wtf?!! did i get virus/hacked and it changed the boot image?" anyway it hangs up there and I reboot into safe mode....went fine...reboot again don't get the choice of safe mode, safe mode with networking, yadda yadda, anyway, i see the IBM screen again, but it has apparently taken place of the windows boot screen! i dunno wtf is going on but has anyone heard of this? i'm also going to post this on castlecops.com's forum

Did you install any themes or anything recently? Do a google on the screen, see if you find anything there from hijackers or such.

i already did and all i found was the it was an OS made by IBM years ago. i did install a program that was supposed to change my bootscreen from windows to whatever i wanted but never used it. I wonder if it defaults to that screen as opposed to the windows one? hmmm....must search hard drives for program..................
