I have a Radeon X800XT and it puked on me today--overheating and fan problems. I have a friend with an X800 who's going on Thanksgiving vacation tomorrow, so he let me borrow it until I can get my card replaced.
Here's the strangness. I was originally running the game in 1600x1200. The X800Xt and the X800 are very similar cards with the same amount of video memory. When I first started up the game after replacing the card, the default video settings were used. So I went in and selected 1600x1200, etc. But something is definitely not right--it's definitely running in 16-bit color, and I don't think it's in 1600x1200, either. This card is more than capable of doing it, so I have no idea what got fubared when I switched cards. Is there a config file or something I could modify to force the correct settings? Thanks.
