What's the strangest or coolest thing you've ever done? Like skydiving, parachuting, being buried alive, exploring the sewers, etc.

I can't think of one myself but Il'l think something up later.

I jumped off a huge cliff with no parachute or cords or anything.

I didnt survive.

D:

In terms of jumping off things, I've jumped off Chimney Rock before. The cliff the people are standing on is the low one, the ledge above them is the middle one, and there's another cliff a few feet higher than the middle ledge that's chimney rock (it's off to the right). "While many have enjoyed the thrill of jumping from these rock formations, a few jumpers have been seriously injured, paralyzed, or killed after jumping. In July 2006, a teenager died after his jump from the rock." From wikipedia.

I've done a lot of building climbing. But in retrospect it was very dangerous. If my foot or hand slipped I would be dead. it was sort of a challenge to get to the top of this big theatre so I scaled the duct on the side. it was probably about 5 floors up. I also climbed from the 6th floor window of a building up onto the roof.

I go scuba diving a lot. Although that is pretty safe, you can still easily kill yourself if you are stupid. For example, if you are diving at say 10 metres, hold your breath and rise 2 metres. You will probably do youself a lung over expansion injury. Which are commonly fatal. But hey, it's extremely fun. :p

Same. Also did cage diving in 'Shark Alley' off the east coast of South Africa...never been so scared in my life. I dont care how tough you think you are, watching a Great White circle your cage and the boat is just...'****!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG IM GONNA DIE HERE!!!'. But apparently sharks cant seperate the image of you from the cage, so all they see is a big block as it were.

Didnt care, i was still shite scared.

Oh and i bungeed off the Zambezi bridge, that was fun. Then on the same day, white water rafted down the Zambezi itself from the base of Victoria Falls.

Although I havn't done a cage dive near a great white, you still get a fair few non-agressive species of shark down here in Australia. They are cool, if not a little intimidating. But hey! What are shark shockers for? Not that I've had to use one. yet. :rolling:

Fell of a death-ride once...about 8 meters
Got "spiked" after sliding a stair-railway
Did some free-buidling climbing...but after the death-ride accident i got a little spooked ;)
Also did some skateboarding when I was younger and wilder.
Love to do a freefall but that hasen't happened yet. One day I'm sure...

Once exams are over I'll be going out a lot. Look forward to it... mabye if there are enough divers here we should start a 'diving exploits' thread.

i dont want to boast but i did something very non-amazing, i raped raziaar and he doesnt know about it yet, but to be serious, i really forgot what i did lol, i was thinking of it a few seconds ago. I think it has to be lighting the gunpower packets on fire...

I've done more strange things that extreme things prob.
Extreme things would be like certain urban exploration and climbing, runnning massive distances.

Strange things, well things like emerging out of the sea in all black walking up the jetty into town then going in the supermarket.
Blowing myself up, full 19kg propane cylinder 1m away.....well that was stupid
Setting myself on fire with 'impression fluid'
Chasing and punching a dent in a land rover discovery.
Building an underground bunker with kitchen, NBC filtration was pretty cool for a kid thing to do..........especially when it got set on fire and flooded at the same time crawling through tunnels full of smoke and orange glow trying to save stuff.
Doing a jump in a billy cart and 'flying' through the air and the cart landing on my testicles. (yeah they are that big)
Theres prob a lot more but i've forgotten.

Yeah those are thrills/adrenalin inducing things which aren't really that dangerous, that makes it all so hollow for me D: I've done a bloody high zip-wire before, now that wasn't really scary (harnesses & such) but it was bloody fun at 40mph flying without any hands. :D

I've often thought about trying to spend a whole day in the shower (or untill the hot water ran out). You would have to plan it a bit but someday I'd like to give it a try.

i've gone whitewater rafting and camping in some amazing, beautiful places

I flew a plane from Leeds Bradford airport back to Huddersfield, and took a photo of my own house from about 4,000ft up. Next year i'm taking a ferrari 355 for an unrestrited blitz around elvington airfield. Yay :D

I messed up while doing a backflip on a trampoline when I was little, went head first into the trampoline, but I had an adrenaline rush, so it felt like bullet time.

I went Zorbing last year. It involves being put into a large ball which is contained inside an even bigger one, a layer of air filling the gap, and being rolled down a steep hill. It was ****ing horrible.

First me and my gf were strapped in, spread-eagled and facing each other. I generally love rollercoasters and such, but was already shitting myself. The ball is really quite big and you're completely helpless. After a minute of waiting we heard the guy outside say, 'ready to launch' into his radio and the sod gave us a massive push.

It starts off rolling quite slowly, then quickly speeds up untill you hit a bump and take off (we later found out that you're not meant to leave the ground, but that day was very windy and the ball was blown into the air). You then spend the rest of the trip bouning down a hill while spinning round and round very fast. Think of it as being inside a bouncing washing machine.

Landing upside down was painful - like being hit with a boxing glove - and all my organs seemed to move around. Infact, it felt more like they were staying still and my body was rotating around them. Over the last 10 years i've seen my gf make some interesting faces, but this was a whole new level of interesting - it looked like she was going to vomit while shitting her pants and wanting to die. Apparently I was no picture either.

At the bottom we rolled into a fake hill which is best described as an earth half-pipe, flew into the air, hovered for a few seconds that felt much longer, and came bouncing down, still upside down. Eventually blurry looking people unstrapped us and we flopped out of the Zorb, staggered to the car, went home and straight to bed.

lmao how did "being buried alive" and "exploring the sewers" make the list?

Infiltration of industrial complex where is based production of aircraft engines
Rafting in mountains during storm
Fall from glacier in Slovakian mountains (30 meters sliding on ice and stones)
Firing fireworks horizontally
Various insane chemical and physics experiments
...

Man, I'd hate that. So much. :|

The most fascinating thing I have done is probably riding in a Challenger II battle tank in Dudley. Those things are beasts. I can't wait til I join the Armoured Corps to actually learn to drive, shoot, load and commander one. :D

Uuuhm Adrenaline stuff... Uuuuh...
Took out five guys with one clip on CSS and defused. I was the last on my team. That was an adrenaline rush since I killed the last guy with my last bullet.

I don't go outside much. It's scareh.

I was trying to be cool/show off when I was like 9 or 10 and dove head first off the high dive and when I went underwater all I saw was white....I didn't know where I was and thought I had died, so I just swam forward and ended up at the top of the water again. It was very strange to say the least, this was like 7 or 8 years ago.

O Rly?

WHERE? D:

Dudley is a Borough :p

I meant which town was it in.

Screwed a chick on her parent's bed while her kid was next door singing along to Barney. The part that made it really great was when she had to stop every once in a while because her kid was crying.'

Good times.

I live just down the road from Dudley Town. Small world, didn't realise so many of us were from this area D:

I've done quite a few outdoor sports myself. Climbing a HUGE tree, absailing down, flying down an aerial runway, canoeing, archery and all that shit. Not exactly strange or fascinating :p But I had fun.

Would love to go to a shooting range and fire a load of rounds off from loads of guns.

So that's 3 people who know the Dudley area.

z0mg. The internets!

IAt the Territorial Army Royal Armoured Corps/Yeomary center, just outside of... errr, I'm not sure, the main part of Dudley. I don't go there often, but thats where I'll be going next year for the TA.

Ah, those were the days...

I've gone Cliff Jumping before. The adreneline was nuts. I've also gone camping in the NC Mountains a fair share of times, and that was neat too.

Awesome. Except for the part about the crying :(

Had sex. Was too much for me when it was "done" so I sat in a park for about 4 hours later wondering what happened. ROFL!

Oh man. I'm kind of one of those people that will do pretty much anything just because, or just because I'm curious what it would be like or what would happen. Sometimes I don't even put that much thought into it. When I was a little kid, I jumped off my grandmother's roof with a makeshift cape on, in the middle of the winter during one of the worst blizzards we've ever seen. I don't know if I actually thought I could fly or what, but I wound up buried in like.. two and a half feet of snow. I just generally shouldn't be allowed around roofs. I've jumped off a few into swimming pools, onto trampolines. The trampoline I only did once, because I flew off it and busted my ass. I remember one time I thought it would be a good idea to spray my trampoline down and see how hard it would be to jump on it. Busted my ass again. I've done a lot of really stupid climbing. I went to Red Rock Canyon outside of Vegas and decided I was going to climb to the top of this small cliff by myself. I just took off and by the time anyone noticed I was gone, I was already at the top. Problem was I didn't have a clue how to get down, so my older half brother had to climb up there and help me. I was like.. ten.

I've set myself on fire before, just because someone said they didn't believe I'd do it. One time, I was at a water park and decided I was going to try to climb up this huge water slide. I got up about a quarter of the way, then got run over by some fat kid in an innertube.

I've handcuffed myself to various things because apparently I wanted to be an escape artist when I was a kid. That never went well. I used to climb into cramped spaces, boxes, whatever and get stuck. One time I thought it would be a good idea to lick the metal bar in my freezer, and got my tongue stuck. Most of this stuff files under 'stupid' rather than strange or fascinating.

In the strange catagory, I went into a convenience store wearing no pants and rollerskates, because the sign didn't specify that I needed pants or what kind of shoes to wear. Thing is, I can't skate. So I crashed into a display and took it down. I wasn't allowed in there anymore. They took a lot of crap from me before finally deciding to ban me though hah. I went over to the slushie machine and just stuck my head under it and turned it on. They charged me for it. :[ I used to have this really super realistic rubber lizard that I got from a zoo, and I would carry it around in public in a towel and mess with people. I'd take it to the pool and put it in the pool or the hot tub and scare the hell out of people. I used to do that with snakes, too. I don't know, I have too many things to fit in one post rofl. This is already too long.
