Stuck (A.I. Freezes) at the beginning of Black Mesa East

Ok...so I get to the beginning of black mesa east, go through the scan...the lady says she needs to take me down the elevator or whatever. Then she does not come out of the scanning room, and I can't open any doors. I've tried all sorts of ai_disable and resume codes as well as just running around waiting for her to move because the guide says she has to open the elevator. Any ideas? The guy with her says a few things to me like "you better get going" but she doesn't budge no matter what I do....??!

Replaying that bit by either reloading from a save or using a map cheat code can wake up the AI sometimes.

jesus everytime someone mentions ai freeze someone is always like OMG BUY THE GAME, jut because it happens in the warez version primarily doesnt mean they have a warez version

what do you mean by "map cheat codes"...I normally don't use cheats so I'm clueless. Is this just skipping to another part of the game or something? If so, where can I find the codes at? Thanks!

Map cheat codes just start you off at any section of any level of the game with the right weapons and ammo for that point.

Basically, all that means is that you just end up with slightly different amounts of ammo than you would have by playing up to that point. It's not really a cheat in the usual sense.

It's pretty easy to do. Start up the game, press the key to the top left of your keyboard, next to 1. This brings up the console. Type in:

map d1_eli_01

That will load you just as you leave the airboat and before the bit you got stuck at. Hopefully, the AI will be awake this time.

[If the console doesn't appear when you press the key, go to Options-->Keyboard-->Advanced and tick Enable Developer Console. Then try the key again.]

I had this too. It happened when i tried the ai_norebuildgraph 1 or something like that to improve performance or whatever. Read it somewhere on the forum or net, can't remember. Since it was not helping, i removed it from my autoexec.cfg. I ended up with Ai Disable every time i loaded the game. Dunno how to fix it, so ended up reisntalling the game.
Yes, i have the collectors retail version.

do you have the mape code for the next possible point after map d1_eli_01 ? This one is starting me too early and it's still freezing. Is there a place online to find all codes?

nevermind i got it working using that map code...THANKS FOR THE HELP...if you know of where I can get a list of all map codes that would still be cool.

They have both codes for the released game and the beta version below that. I've seen a few cheat sites mistakenly listing the beta codes as the released game codes.
