Stuck at gate at end of water hazard

Hi guys,

I have just started playing, and have got through to the water hazard section where you come to a gate with 2 friendlys behind it.

One of them keeps saying 'You can park your boat. It will be safe here', and there is this very very very annoyingly dopey one on the other side standing beside a wheel doing nothing.

I can't get the gate to open. It looks like it should be scripted and I just drive in there, but I am locked out.

The only thing I have been doing 'differently' is running from the bad guys rather than killing them all in the earlier stages. I have just got past the puzzle where you need to dump the washing machine in the apparatus to life the ramp - I jump the boat over the lifted ramp and drive a short way down an empty tunnel to find Mr. Parking Attendant and his dopey non-switch-pulling sidekick.

Please help - I can't even shoot them. Grrrr.

go into the room and look at the map, Mr.parking attendant should come over and blab about some crap........go back outside and they'll open the gate. :cheers:

Didn't work though - they won't open the first gate even to let me past.

I have to get out of the boat outside the first gate, and can't get through.

well I'm not sure what to tell you. They're suppose to lift the first gate when u pull up to it. Maybe something is wrong with the scripting. My only suggestion is to go back to a previous save and try it again.

he should say " Gordan Freeman, blah blah blah" then they let u in

Yeah thanks man, I think I am starting over. I never got the 'Gorden Freeman' stuff, just 'Mr Park your boat' and him standing around like he's paid by the hour.

I have tried from every save game back to the start, must have got a scripting glitch somewhere.

Not that I am sick of the water chase part or anything, but

Still, I guess it makes the game last longer.
