Stuck in Black Mesa East

The Black Mesa East chapter starts up fine, I go through the detoxification and the female scientist comes out to meet me and goes on talking about their experiments. She then presses the elevator button and then just stands there. I can move and go anywhere, do anything, but the woman is just stuck there and the elevator cannot be operated. I'm thinking this has something to do with a sequence where she will lead me down the elevator, because their seems to be no other way to get through the level (other than manually load maps).

What's wrong here?

You don't, you post the solution that you found, then leave the thread alone. That way, others like your self who have the problem, don't get searches full of "How do I fix this? - Never mind, found a way".
