Stuck in canal, have pictures....

Ok, i am stuck here (see attachments), the canals, i went thew the door (A)
And there was nothing but police, and i went thew the door to outside (b) where there was a broken valve.

I need to open the gate (c) to get threw with the fan boat thingy, which usualy it would be the valve but it is broken..
I drove all around the water and didn't see anything...

If you are facing the broken valve, turn 90% to the right and shoot the explosive barrel behind the fence...you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Don't feel bad..that one stumped me too for a long time.

I've learned 2 things that are helping me solve all the puzzles in the game.

1) Always think about the physics of objects. Some things are heavier than others. Some things float. Some things sink. Some things act as levers. Etc, etc...

2) When faced with a dilemma on what to do next, think "what would Mel Gibson playing Mad Max do?"

e.g....

"Hmm....helicopter firing on me and a huge ramp in front of me? Should I stop and hide or scout on foot carefully? Nah....PUNCH IT."

"Should I shoot that person directly, or try for a Hollywood action-movie style blowing-up-the-whole-friggin-bridge kill? Do I even have to ask?"
