First, my jump quit working. I read some earlier posts and turned on no_clip to get unstuck, but the jump is still not working. Now I am at the Piston and for some reason sliding all over the place. When I step on the Piston it slide right out from under me and I can't stay on long enough to get to the raise part.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Also stuck!

Did you get an answer to this? - I'm stuck at the same point!

I changed names since nobody was answering me...:D

I had to set noclip to off and walk through the gate/barrier, then turn it immediately back on. I needed it again later in the game.

I got stuck later in the game when jump quit working at the very end, and still haven't gotten it back on. I finally messed with gravity until I got to where I needed to be and finished the game.

If this doesn't help post here again and I'll try to help you all I can.

Good luck.

Apparently the issue has been traced back to pressing the jump key when in the rail-mounted personnel pods (i.e., reload the section and don't jump), but clearly that's not the only possibility.

It's a recognised bug of some sort, but I can't clarify further since I have to admit that all the times that I've encountered it reloading the map (and not jumping, whoops) have worked for me.

Edcrab, at first I was able to reload back prior to the pods and the jump would still work, but after "the ride" it still would not. Now, though, even after reloading it doesn't work. In fact, if I start a new game it doesn't work.

I read another thread that talked about the bindings, I am not technically proficient enough to know WHAT IN THE HECK THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!

Oh, sorry romax, I had been searching posts for the jump problem and jump bug on the brain. I guess you were asking about the sliding part.

I finally had to go to the console and use sv_gravity to get up to where I needed to be, and even this took a while to get just right. I think I eventually set it to sv_gravity -3 to ride the platform over, and then when I was just above the upper level set it back to fall down to it. Everything went pretty normally from there, and it's almost the end of the game.

I'm not sure what the default or normal setting for gravity is, I was setting it back to 500 and it seemed at least close.
