stuck in HL2

Hi, I just started playing half life 2 recently and I love it except I'm stuck at this part. It's a room you enter vertically through a vent. Then about 10 flying droids attack you in an underground room with lots of pipes and ecplosive barrales. There is an adjoining room that has about three stories and a long ladder. There us a sewer pool in the first room with a ladder and a big pipe passage at the bottom. The best I could come up with is to throw the explosive barrales into the pool and then bob on them to try to jump into the big pipe, but I kept dying when the barrels exploded. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Climb up the ladder and crawl along the pipe right in front of it, that'll take you to the other side. Go in that room adn ninja around the pipes in there and you'll find a red valve. Turn it and it will raise the water so you can swim through the big pipe.

And the "flying droids" are called manhacks.

I knew I had to get into that red pipe somehow. I missed the valve in the other room though. I wonder if you could actually pull off jumping into that pipe by bobbing the barrels, if you can then you need more patience than I have. Thanks again.

One of the reasons I always loved the HL2 series, was the super puzzles. More to come ahead of you. Always look around at every angle, some of the tricks are hard to spot. If you get hung up again, post here, somebody will always help in short order. You will probably get stuck at the first dam/lock with the Air Boat too.

Shoot the explosive barrels as soon as you land. Destroy any remaining 'hacks with the crowbar. When all of them are down, climb the ladder to access the next room. Hope this helps!

You're not one to judge when your spelling is that attrocious. And there's no call to mock someone. I don't see anyone mocking you for your immense stupidity in other threads. He's probably younger than you, which is no call for you to be laughing in his face. Quite the contrary, he should respect you. But that respect isn't going to come from something as obnoxious as the attitude you put across. Do you expect us to treat you like dirt?

rofl. i wasnt attakin his spellin. his was not a typo or spellin error. it was a general comprehension problem or lack of payin attenton in da game. im just a head in a jar so i hav to typ wif a pencil in my mouth. i hav slight brain damage from lead poisionin.
