Stuck in Resident Evil

Im stuck in Resident Evil ( GC ) at the medivel trap i have to replace an imitation key to the real one but all i have is the coin for the key and in the walkthroughs ive seen they say that the coin becomes the imitation key but i dont know how, also ive tryed to replace the coin but nothing happens.

Please help me

Ohh i had to examine it alittle more carefully to make it turn out a key
