Stuck in Water Hazard

I am at a point where the gate is opened up for me and I am supposed to get out to get a turret for my boat. There is absolutely no turret and the second gate will not open for me. I have been running around this area for 45 min and nothing is happening at all.

As you speak to the guy in the shack and get briefed on Izzy's hideout, the vortigaurn (sp?) will be modding your airboat with a gun. After some weird chat from the alien (keep 'activating' him to get some interesting mystical insights), jump in your boat and they will raise the 2nd barrier for you to leave...

And google for gamefaqs while you're at it...

...wow, if you got stuck there because you didn't talk to someone, i'll be expecting a lot more threads from you.

from now on, look for people to talk to, this game is more interactive, you must be too used to doom iii or something.

Try putting the boat up close to the pier thing before you get out.

If that fails, it might be another AI bug. I can give you a map code to replay this bit as that can fix it.

Thank you for the replys. Just for your informatino Exoeight, yes I have talked to everyone. Im not that newbie. There is noone and nothing in the shack. Just empty boxes. The 2 people standing there do not react to anything and neither does the alien. They just stand there. Can you give me that map code you talked about Doomed. Thanks.
