stuck on water hazard need help badly

hi guys i've been stuck on water hazarad for 2 days now on this one stupid area. I must be missing something...

it's the area where a helicopter is following you and you go through this water area where there is a bridge with a train on it and a T-junction. On the right there are 2 boats blocking your way and on the left there is a big gate or dam looking thing that is blocking your way. I have looked high and low on this area and can't find any way to make any progress. I've gon backwards and did not notice anything that i missed. Please help me. This area is really getting frustrating.

If I'm thinking of the right part, there should be a ladder on one of the corners that leads up to a door. I'm not positive I'm thinking of the right place though.

This has happened to other people - you got turned around. (probably at the part where you use the elevator to lower the airboat into the water from the barn)

The closed gate you see is Gate 5.....its basically where you had the big battle to open it, where you get the Magnum & where you had to avoid the Helicopter in the yard full of containers.

Go back the way you came until you get to the barn bit again....once you lower the boat down you need to go in the opposite direction to the handle you turn to lower the boat.
so if your airboat is facing the handle, turn around & go the other way)


If you go in the wrong direction you end up going back the way you came.....alot of people have had the same problem.

It's beyond the red and whiter smoke stacks. There is a ladder, but cut off half way, and I cant get to it (Tried jumping from the boat, climing on shit, no luck.)

Any clues?

? Youre trying to get to the big building area? I think there is a button on a pole sticking out of the water in front of the gate. You press it, Hope thats where youre talking about...


And to higgidy, try walking around where you are stuck and blowing up every flamable barrel you can see....i dont really know where youre talking abiut..

Some of us are on dialup.... If I have to wait for fifteen minutes for a thread to load, it does NOT make me happy.

hmm, I've beaten the game and rolled past water hazard on my way thru a second time and haven't had to use an elevator to lower the airboat into the water from a barn (???) are there multiple paths to complete this section???

I was thinking the same thing. I saw the elevator on my way through and thought it must be some sort of solution to something but never used it.
