Just read about that. I remember something directly similar to that a few months back, involving Angel Dust...

So you guys will never experiment with any drugs, for fear of cutting off your own penis? Probably not the best reason to neglect what can potentially be a life experience. There have got to be better reasons not to do drugs than "what if I cut off my penis!??!"

But then again, I don't know any of you, so perhaps cutting off your own penis isn't such a distant option.

BTW- So you think that this was his choice? He wasnt in control so this couldve been ANYONE under the influence of said substance.
 
This also shows that the concept of "drugs" is often limited to obvious pot, pills, injects, powders etc. Anything POISONOUS produces similar "highs". You are inducing a stress on the body to acheive that feeling. Just like smoking a cigarette reduces oxygen to the brain. This includes cleaning solutions and many common plants. People don't realize how many common plants are poisonous if ingested (for example tomatoes-only the fruit ISN'T poisonous). The plant that idiot used is growing in my backyard.
 
This is why only mature, well-balanced, and responsible people should do these types of drugs. ANYONE who is experienced with hallucinogenic drugs (or has done enough reading about them to make themselves aware of the risks) would know to have what is called a "sitter" with them. A sitter is someone who is experienced with the drug you are doing and will stay with you and help you stay calm when you get excited. On just about any website out there having to do with this type of drug, you can find drug specific sitter guides. What a fool. THIS is exactly the types of irresponible behavior that has given this type of drug such a bad reputation. I certainly hope that he can be helped as I'm sure the horrible trip he had will scar him for most of his life (not to mention the scarring he will recieve from knowing thta he did this to him self). Let this be a lesson to the youth, EDUCATE YOURSELF. Knowledge is indeed power.
 
As a psych RN I have taken care of kids that have o/d'd themselves on Angel's Trumpets. Very sad to see someone go from having a whole lifetime ahead of them in productive society, to being mentally & emotionally impaired so severely that they can barely communicate, nor take care of even basic human functions (using a fork, for example).

It's a drug that you can't even gague how strong it's going to be. How irresponsible! On the flip side, if other drugs were legal (ones that CAN be measured and regulated for potentcy) then I believe that these types of things would happen less often, becuase there would be more info on how to use them responsibly. The more drugs that are outlawed and criminalized, the more people are going to look for alternatives. Thats when people start doing cleaning solvents and eating plants that they have no clue about. Again, EDUCATION is the key.

When did I say that they were "GREAT!"? Please point me to that post. I think that they can be very helpful to some people. I'm one of those people. I know many people who are in the same situation. I'm not going to get into it again with you, but there are SO many people out there like me who are succesful in life and have done these things (and continue to do them) and you would never know and probably never will know. On the other hand they can absolutely ruin someones life. Some people have a bad trip that will haunt them for the rest of thier lives, and they don't have to dismember themselves. I know a guy who took too much LSD while camping by himself and is now afraid of trees. Trees are everywhere, and he's always afraid. His two mistakes were that he did too much (and he knew it) and he was alone (and he knew to use a sitter). Psycoactive can be positive or negative, depending on how informed you are and on how you choose to use the information that you have.

PS: I LOVE being pwned (whatever that means).
