I heartily rofl'd at this. Some of you probably know, but I went to a Catholic high school, there were a lot worse things than rock and roll, or holding hands. The parents might be trying to push for this crap, but the students won't stand for it.

Yes actually, the last homecoming that we had really sucked, about 100 people went. Everybody else went to one that the students organized. You would have had to wear "70s clothes" and so everybody got together and rented out the local YMCA. When the parent organization showed up we started playing that song actually.

This is known as sola scriptura, it means solely scripture. But basically, yes, it is a protestant doctrine that means that they won't accept anything besides the bible.
