&*$*!(! stupid ATI card!

Every game I play I get a VPU Recover message. The only difference is the time it takes for it to come up. Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault, a BRAND NEW GAME!, has a VPU Recover crash every three minutes. Is it my video card, or are the games just messed up for me?

P.S. I have the newest drivers.

That happened to my old AIW Radeon 8500 and when I put in my backup card the problem went away. Your GPU may be burned out.

How old is your ATI card and what model is it?

9800 Pro, and it is about 5 months old. I tried turning off the VPU recover, it just freezes my computer.

My friend had the exact same problem but whilst playing Doom 3, I can't remember what he did but when I next see him I'll ask him. Try searching about it through Google to see if theres a solution to it somewhere on the internet.
